Coring with a hand held drill. Installation to an existing driveway. Routing cable under soldier course. Drilling for recessed dock lighting. Placing pavers for new construction. Cable placement in turf.

By design, the Evening Star® system allows for lighting fixtures to be placed anywhere in your project and not limited by geometric shapes.  This system installs easily to new or pre-existing work, and circuit cable can be routed with several options.  Fixtures are connected without wire nuts or splicing with a unique, reusable Power Tap Connector™.  Two independent circuits can be controlled for lighting effects, by using the optional 10/3 Dual Circuit Cable.  Once installed, Lamp Modules can easily be changed by the homeowner or groundskeeper with a handy Removal Tool that is available as an accessory.

Core Drilling For Paver Lighting Applications

Core drilling of paving stone, brick, and natural stone can be obtained in several ways. Most Evening Star® dealers offer core drilling services for a nominal fee.  The contractor/installer can provide coring on the job site by using a professional hand held core drill, or with the Field Installation Kit, and basic 1/2" capacity electric drill.  When drilling by hand, we recommend using the Adjustable Coring Template, which helps keep the bit centered.

Mounting Options For Deck & Dock Lighting Applications

When installing Evening Star® Deck or Dock Lighting, both surface and recessed mounting options are available.  Decking boards are quickly drilled using Deck & Dock Installation Kit with a 1/2 capacity electric drill.  Flush mounting is done in a single step, while recessed is a two step process.  When drilling is complete, a DL250 Series Lamp Support Assembly is affixed with stainless steel screws, followed by the PL250 Series Lamp Module.  Please see our Product List for more information on all drilling equipment and accessories
